Tanat Valley prides itself in offering good quality service. With generations of experience in the coach travel market, our staff offer friendly and helpful advice.
Since 1920 we have been proudly transporting the people of Powys and Shropshire to town, to market, and to school.
As well as the 1,500 school children that we take to and from school each day, we have a fleet of daily and monthly public service buses travelling to the likes of Aberystwyth, Machynlleth, Shrewsbury, and Llandudno.
We already offer a wide range of coach holiday and day trips, but we’re always happy to hear suggestions from you as to where you would like to go! Concerts, festivals, shows, conferences, or even an ale-trail; please do get in touch with any ideas as we are always looking to add to our calendar of events.

2020 has been an incredibly exciting year for Tanat Valley Coaches & Motors. Not only have we celebrated the anniversary of our centenary, but we have also undertaken new ownership! One hundred years of operating and we have managed to keep it in the family, with the next generation carrying the “Tanat Valley Torch” handed over from brothers Michael and Peter Morris.
Family is undeniably important to us at Tanat Valley and the new owners celebrate the hard work and professionalism of our wider TVC family, namely the drivers, the mechanics, admin and operational staff who working in positive synergy provide continued, excellent service to our beloved community.
Our fleet of private hire & public service coaches operate from our main depot in Llanrhaeadr-Ym-Mochnant where we also undertake all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance. We also offer a complete MOT testing service along with vehicle drop-off point at our sister workshop, Chadd’s Garage based at Port-Y-Waen.

When it comes to days out we have options for all ages and levels of activity; from leisurely day trips to the Llyn Peninsula, a day of shopping at the bustling Birmingham Bullring, to the Victorian elegance of Llandudno.
We also offer a wide range of family-friendly day outs during the school holidays such as trips to the zoo, the beach, and the prestigious, Royal Welsh Show.
